About Us
My name is Therese and I am a Social Work student. Michael’s Place was created in memory of my late father. Michael’s place is a safe space to discuss and advocate for mental health. Topics such as stigma and how courageous acts by sharing our stories can give us back our power in the most beautiful intersecting ways.
Michael’s place is a space to break down stigma and support removing discrimination, oppression and judgement. It is a place to learn how to look back within ourselves and discover our fears, our joy, our grief, our anger and our sadness. It is a place to heal and it is a place to share vivacious love.
it’s an honour to be able to reduce stigma by accepting diversity for the big bold love it delivers
